The Kind Farmer Neigbhor
Dear Diary,
Today I watched the farmer down the street from our house walk up and down the backyard stairs that go to the bottom of a very big hill. Every time he went down the stairs he disappeared behind the green grass hill! At first, I could only see his shoulders, head and hat and then as he went down the stairs I would only see his hat until I could not see him any more. It reminded me of Tuvalu when I would play with my classmates in the lagoon and we would walk on our knees in the sand until we were underwater.
The farmer is very kind. He rents a field to my Amish friend’s family. Her family grows hay for horses in our community.
