Those crazy frogs

May 12

cute muskrat swimming with leafToday, I was walking with Myles by the stream near our farm. Boing, boing, boing I heard these strange sounds all around us as we came close to the water. Boing, boing, bing, boink! What a racket! It was those crazy frogs, so noisy that I almost didn’t see the very cute muskrat swimming by us with a huge leaf in his mouth.

My hydroponic garden

Apr 04

Today I looked at my plants that I am growing in our indoor garden. I have all kinds of native Wisconsin plants and some to eat too! It is really cool my Mom told me the garden is called a Wick system. My dad help me make this hydroponic garden with some buckets, cups and rags, and some special growing stuff mixed with water my Mom gave us to feed the plants with. My mom also taught me how to spell the word hydroponic.

Upcycled Snow

Feb 22

Today my dad is shoveling the snow off our back porch and putting it in orange barrels by our house. We have 15 barrels around our farm! But you can use I think it’s called a rain barrel that gets the water from your roof, so you always have
water for your garden.

In the summer we use the water in the orange barrels to feed the plants in our garden!
Mom and dad want to make the snow clean so that we can use it for drinking too! That would be cool!
